Frequently Asked Questions:
- How do I use a Natural Flare BBQ starter?
Natural Flare Barbecue starters should be placed on the bottom of your barbeque,
or in the bottom of the firepit with the rough side up. You may build a "tee-pee"
of coals or wood around the starter, and then light with a long match, or light
the starter, and then quickly and safely stack the charcoal or wood on top of the
starter. You may also put the starter under the charcoal grate if you are
using one and stack the charcoal above it.
To use the firestarter with a charcoal chimney, place one starter on a fireproof
surface with the rough side up and light. Place the chimney over the starter
until the coals are ready (typically less than 5 minutes).
- What is really "All Natural"?
While there is a lot of confusion and misinformation out in the market, there are
a few simple rules that we see when it comes to making all natural candles and natural
fire starters.
- 100% All Natural wax must be used - NO PARAFFIN
- NO commercial dyes - Wax dyes are synthetic. Only plant extracted dyes
and pigments are natural.
- NO “scents” or Fragrant oils - Scents and scented oils are usually synthetic.
Only 100% therapeutic grade Essential Oils are acceptable to us.
- Biodegradable products are best...
- What goes into Natural Flare products?

How does Natural Flare color its products?
Any color in our candles or fire starters is the result of the natural plant or
insect derived components.
-
What does Natural Flare do about fragrance?

“blueberry cobbler” here - just pure, natural, essential oils in pleasant
aromatherapy and insect repellant citronella formulas are used for our candle and fire starters.
